I'm feeling a bit lost here. Started out fine, but now it seems to have stalled with no quests other than find the gem with the shovels. But I don't have any more shovels. Game says I need Mom and Pop...

for the first time I've decided to do nothing more in my town till tomorrow when we have more of a strategy working. I always finish with time to spare anyway but I'm a tad confused on all of this.
