When I went into my game after seeing this on his site it did a download. Not sure how large a file.

That shouldn't matter. Last year we had lots of great updates in the summer time.

Exactly. Last summer was my favorite time period of tsto since it started.
That'll teach me for trying to make excuses for EA! I only started last October so I wasn't around to see what a good summer on TSTO could look like. Honestly, other than the Stonecutters event, TSTO has been pretty disappointing ever since the Christmas event ended.
