apart from the fever cabin the rest are only skins for the houses (if you've the old items already). (speaking only of the tunnel prizes)

I don't like the third new option for tunnel 14. Is that speculation or canon? I already have all three items, and plenty of the new third item from last year, like the candy canes, angels, festive bells, and toy soldiers. The new players are at least getting something they don't have. Not really upset it's just a tad boring. Also yes I think the wheel should have had an animation that when clicked destroyed itself. Or a permanent task "make homer destroy wheel", with animation.
