- as a newer player who was not around for xmas last year, im actually pretty stoked with most of the tunnel prizes. the skins are fun and nice to have, as i had been eyeballing them all year (some of my neighbors live in land of perpetual holidays). the present prizes are of course way better, but i haven't gotten anything from an event that makes me want to ragequit the game/life.... well, since the event that shall not be named, anyway.....

it's the prize for tunnel 14, with Christmas Skinner House and Festive Hot Drink Stand.Deadshot_DCU wrote:
One of the tunnel prizes should be Mr. Plow's Plow Truck
THIS. WHERE THE HELL IS THE TRUCK?? I've been wondering this forever...I've got the skin, Barney's Plow King skin and truck...they must be making the Mr. Plow truck a special gift...hoping for it in Phase 2!vanettoonl726 wrote:
I just thank my lucky stars I was playing back in Christmas 2013, when we not only got the Christmas lights skins for most houses but also a pile of cool buildings like Costington's, Claus Co., the skating rink, Springfield Mall, the Helter Shelter, the Nog Bar, etc. And all for free. IMO, that was the last truly fantastic event TSTO had in that you could win a ton of great stuff you'd want to keep in your town all year and you didn't have to pay money for it. After that, I think they decided they needed to dribble decent prizes out in order to keep new content in line for at least a few more years, plus they decided they wanted to make more money by making so many things premium.
Yeah, I'm glad I got all that stuff for free too. My friend who just started playing a few months ago has had to buy most of that stuff with donuts. Hehe sucker!
If you have Christmas Skinner House you get Plow King's Truck. If you got both you get Festive Hot Drink Stand
I missed out on the Skinner House decorations last year (but I did receive the plow) so I'll end up with more lights instead of the drink stand. Not a big deal though.- It all smells like a re-hash of last year a few decorations and a few NPC's  , I'm bored already :!:
- i think the burns, homer fever snowmen, fever cabin, elf tunnel, plunger, toy factory, NPCs, broken wheel and grip of new skins for houses and characters have been great. What exactly would make it good? Would your perspective be different if there were just fewer prizes and not daily ones? Obviously, Im not overjoyed for a candy cane, but most events also dont have daily prizes.

Think it's the effort of doing three separate tasks to win stuff you could buy in bulk last year. If they were unique items, there would be less complaints.cdepast wrote:

The Burns and Homer snowmen are not great. They don't even look like the characters. The NPC's make no sense (Wolverine Snowman???). The Broken Wheel, while funny, should have a multiplier attached to it. New house skins are nice, I'm sure a lot of players take them down once Christmas is over. The holiday bell deco - I can buy that in the store.
What would be better? Event-themed skins for characters (like Martin's). New buildings (yes, I have room), either as a prize or a premium option to buy. New and/or better decorations. Prizes that have multipliers attached. Playable characters instead of NPC's, which are just mobile decos.ephphoneapps wrote:

You only have to go through the list of last year's Christmas prizes to see the difference between great prizes and mediocre ones. But maybe Part 2 of this Christmas event will have better offerings, we'll see.ephphoneapps wrote:

If you watch the show, it makes sense.- To me phase 1 is about getting ready for christmas; we are getting our decorations and such. Phase 2 im guessing by the drunk elves in the loading screen will be more of a party. Ive seen the phase 2 prizes and they are much better.

They need to stop recycling so much content.
At least it isn't The Family Guy game where every event is just a reskin of their first event.
