I'm amazed it doesn't happen to me on my Samsung Galaxy and Amazon Fire. The iPad seems to have no problems.
Maybe if you manually tap some stuff first to lessen the strain on your processor?

I have the latest greatest iPad, it’s just that stupid donut collecting glitch, it goes away for a while then comes back.

What donut collecting glitch? I took a couple of years off and just came back recently so I'm still hearing about all the accumulated game snafus (I just missed the big one where the character finder breaks...).

Basically, if you try to get too many bonus donuts at one time your game will crash.
