There was a glitch at some point where you could get more of the limited SH buildings. Condos and parking lots. And if you got those you were also able to upgrade them. That made it a lot easier to quickly reach the 2b.

Personally I never got to use that glitch, but I don't really care either, if we ever need to get to 2b for something they'll surely release more items. No problem.

There were two glitches actually, one which seemed to randomly allow a few more of certain buildings, and the duplication glitch which allowed you to build as many of any building you had resources for.

I grinded for months on end on polo field farming to get to 2 Billion. I only finished a few weeks before they released the beach hideaways and 4x craft materials.

I am currently 1 612 010 000 and I try to get the limit of 2 billions. It is hard (especially when you just have decorations to craft) That would be nice if there were at least 2 more gifts (one for the 1,5 billion and the last one for the 2 billions. How many of you get the 2 billions?

Only my top 5 neighboreenos have reached $2B. I’m #27 on my list of 100, at $1.6B.



Be sure you have all the potential increases on the ground in your town. That includes all the beach resort’s items.

My current neighbours, 13 has hit 2B. On a side note, earning SH resources was important to unlock the original SH land. I have continued to earn it after that, only to stop when it seems like they are no longer using SH resources to unlock new land parcels beyond the mountains.

Out of what neighbours I currently have only myself has 2 billion although 2nd place is pretty close, back when I grinded out 2bill I seem to think that there wasn't a huge amount happening, events could be months apart so it gave you something to do.
