Perhaps more prizes? I'm getting through this event so quickly, I'm up to 10,000 gold and got 6.2k elixir this morning and 2.2kgols.

pt 18 of the quest mentions Lovejoy's wife hopefully that name drop means she is coming later too

Yea I'm not sure but I think that was the first time she was ever mentioned in game.

Congrats to you too, it does seem to vary, yesterday I only got about 2.5k elixir, however I was only sending out about 35 on Friday. Again, very good hauls, sadly I didn't get the free 4000 elixir.
