The crazy donut train....

this price increase is old and always tested out. dlc and arcade game on xbox 360 used to be 5 to 10 dollars. nowadays it usually 10 - 20 dollars. people complain and yet they pay up. activision started this with call of duty modern warfare. the trend is going up and not down.

ea is just another greedy mofo. it's money first and start to dislike this company every day a little bit more.

i'm still full of donuts. but i surely wont put down another penny for this game. when my donuts depleted, then i'm down and go back to free play.

    250 donuts for Barneys Bowlarama is a bit excessive. EA are milking loyal Simpsons fans as much as possible. Won't be long before things cost 500 donuts!

    I'm down to my last 100 donuts and like you? I'm not putting another penny into it. So I'm being very careful about what I buy.

    I know the increase is old supply and demand sort of thing but I'm just curious what people's limit is. How much are they willing to spend (donut wise) on an item before they are done?

    What really bothers me is they keep pushing these high priced items and yet they don't fix the problems. The Android version? People are having their towns reset and they can't do a thing about it because there isn't an Origin log in that is saving their towns (from what I've read....I don't play that version).

    So....given all that.....what is the cut off point?

    I was curious because evidently 150 donuts for a character appears to be mine lol.

    I'd read about this but didnt know it was just for the android versions, I was seriously getting scared.. we are too far along now to lose our towns I couldnt start again =\


    Oh. You can still lose your town in the iOS version. The difference is that evidently theirs is not saved on the server....what server?? So there is no hope of ever getting it back.

    Again...this is what I'm reading, I don't play that version so maybe somebody who does can comment? Is there the option to save your town on the Origin server? If there is that option, then why can't you visit friends?

    i wouldn't call it a character. like someone else said it here pretty perfect: it's 80 donuts worth police car + a money giving funzo... well, kinda like that. though lepi is cooler then the funzos.

    it all cost so much. ea just dont care. ive allways said they should do like what they do on fifa where you can use you game coins to buy donuts items but they cost loads more. that way its fair for everyone to try and get everything

    Exit Point? Well as you well know from seeing my town i have an addiction to this game :lol: The day i quit is when i look at the donut price and think "your having a laugh aint ya!" and of course when my money starts to dry up :lol:

    I completely understand where you are coming from EA are defo raising the prices to test us on whether we will go the distance on purchasing them, at the moment im still caving in but even i have a limit.....granted im not sure where that is yet :lol: but everyone has a limit at some point :P

    Aren't the police cars 40? So you could get three of those and have some left over.

    I just have a problem, overall, with the 150 donuts and don't get me started on the 250 for Barney's Bowl-a-Rama lol.

    Also....let's don't forget their recent trend of offering up these very same items in some sort of sale/deal later on in the game. That may have been when my turning point started, I was so irritated when I realized that I'd lost hundreds of donuts by purchasing things early.

    No more.

    The leprechaun is cute and adorable but not $10+ cute and adorable.

    At least for me.

    But I do understand those who just started the game and have very little premium items wanting some of the limited things.

    Is making things limited the new selling tactic?

    I'm so full of questions and deep thoughts today....lol...blame the early morning and lack of coffee.

    But this character pays out money and XP whenever you tap on him... so you are getting an ROI besides just having him walk around your town...

    Oh, I completely understand.

    I bought Mr. Plow and it's just a skin! LOL but it was 90 donuts.

    It's the 150....it gives me hives or something lol.

    To put it into perspective, you can purchase the entire season of Game of Thrones (SD version) for under $30. How much can you purchase in this game for under $30? Two leprechauns (if you had the ability to get two).

    ROI - lol....I don't think I've ever seen that term used in this game before, good one and impressive lol. I actually had to dig up my old college economics mental data base to remember what that meant.
