The spotlights..

i just wish the light wouldnt go behiind other decorations/buildings

I still bought about 200 of them.

I wish they wouldn't turn off so easily while tapping gamblers, but then take forever to turn back on, even zooming in close to not keep going to the casino's task board. One tap= off, 50 taps = on. Argh.

I also wish the changing color would stay in the random pattern i set, rather than resynching to match each other again.

I also wish i hadn't just hit the max feature count, so i could add more.

I wanted to put 4 at right angles around the Burns fountain. The result was an offense to geometry.

Why is it that something that's supposed to face four directions doesn't do so with any symmetry?

Exactly my point. Sometimes I swear EA does it to mess with us.

I'm disappointed none of them move back and forth...at any event where they have spotlights like that they always move back and forth across the sky...I would've expected that before color-changing ones.

I put 4 around and they seem pretty symmetrical to me. Did you try this method?

How did you place the two in front? Mine don't even seem able to point at the same height.

When i place the lights, I'm not looking at where they sit on the ground. I'm looking at where the light beam is positioned. So they may not be symmetrical on the ground, but the beams still look most appropriate.

Maybe this pic will explain. See how the lights are not actually across from each other, but kinda offset.

Placing these actually took some time because of when moving the lights the beam goes off. It's very trial n error, but when you get it right you just know it and it's very satisfying to complete a balanced design.
