Anyone else remember when this forum was good and informative? Now it's nothing but repeat topics, trolls, and annoying text talk.
The text talk is the most annoying. Why post a comment of "lmoa" or "lol" and nothing more? Are you stupid, 14, or just trying to boost your post count?
No wonder the best forum members left. Indy I'm looking at you!
Edit: let the trolling begin!
I am in agreement.
I've come unglued over the LOL BS text language and nothing to actually contribute to a valid topic. My 14 year old has way more sense than many who comment here. There are a whole complement of new trolls that are obviously creating a new name every day just to F with the board. I just passed a bunch of threads with ambiguous titles because I'm tired of looking at them only to find another moronic statement or idiotic question that has been asked and answered a hundred times.
I like this place, I like the people I've found also. You were one of the first, and I mean FIRST author I actually read a thread by, I used to just poke around the interwobble (interhoo, internets, interwebs etc) to look for genuine answers to game issues I had now and then. Then recently, I saw this great gif of one of my favorite actors playing his computer keyboard like a piano and said, "Hey, this guy has a sense of humor mixed with wit and a hint of sarcasm, but genuine knowledge". So I started to participate. I actually answered the repeat post questions because I have been playing the game for over a year and I know the quick right and to the point answer just to get it moved along. I like good game strategy threads.
But Im also a person that enjoys a good laugh, I need laughter in a forum, witty remarks and a little back n forth, the old in n out as it were, because otherwise, what you'd have would be boring. Let me ask the long time forum people: What made you stick around? What was the first thing you found interesting here? (Not a pointed or two sided question, I genuinely want to know).
I used to belong to a forum group in a sick and twisted website, but that was what brought us together. I made friends, real ones that I still talk to long after the website died.
The point is, if you think it's going to garbage, don't add to it. Aaaand titling a thread with "The forum has become crap" really does add to the pile, doesn't it? But on the other hand, now we've got a good conversation started and it seems you intended on getting people to think about why they are here in the first place....
Ahh a conundrum, a paradox...
I'm not anyone, I'm a nobody, but I like people. I is people too. Homer, you made my day, you made me laugh, keep it up. Thank you for the props too.
xox-Dana?
Yep. You can call me Danny, dani, but not dan A. It's Dana?. Hi, I am human. How are you today?
