Has this been previously discussed? This is the first I've seen that neighbors visiting your town can cause connectivity issues.
Personally, I have never seen a connection between crashes and neighbors visiting.
I totally believe people jumping in and out of your springfield will cause issues with crashing!! Due to the game having to update with the handshake symbols etc. Thats one reason why i deleted alot of my friends to try and reduce this affect. (didnt work as well as id thought) only crashing once/twice per collection now where as before it was way too many!!
