If you have all the normal characters to get you the 40 every 4 hours, it should take you 18 hours or so, checking the game every 4 hours to reset.
If you have the 8 characters plus the premium thats 48 every 4 hours so would take you 16.
Prizes after prize one require 125 i think but Bart and Lisa are required to do separate tasks.
You can actually skim quite a number of hours of that. None of the required totals is actually a multiple of 40. So on the last cycle for any given reward, you'll likely find yourself sending your characters to collect more event currency than needed for that reward. If you collect the whole 40 units of currency for that cycle together the excess ones will go to waste. So what I do when I'm at 115/125 for example is to start two characters on the event tasks to collect the 10 required for that reward. Then, I do some other things in the town and after a few minutes I send the remaining 6 characters on these tasks. When I return four hours later only the first two will have finished which is just enough to complete the track for that reward. The quest will complete and the quest line for the next reward will trigger and a few minutes later a batch of 30 currency for the new rack will already be there to be collected for the next reward. Like that you can save quite a few hours for the entire event.
