From your origin account settings go into friends then tap it to remove friends

I didn't think there was a limit. I certainly have more friends than that. When you go to visit friends' towns hit the origin button. Under 'my friends' you click on the person and it should give you the option to view their profile. On their profile there should be an expand button (+). Once expanded it should give you the option to remove friend, block, or report. Sometimes it's glitchy and you have to keep reloading the profile until you get the 'remove friend' option.
