Nope, nothing is buried. But I think you have a good case- I would contact EA about it. I'm not sure if they can still give you old content but they might entice you with some donuts.

Do you have automatic updating for this app enabled in iTunes? Updates to remove events normally have to be downloaded from iTunes/Play store and the only way that happens automatically is if the setting for this app is enabled.
