We need Bonuts!

I'm quite surprised of your answer. I just want to give an opportunity for people like me who feel like having back our previous chance to have donuts can voice our opinion. You are probably among those who kept writing donuts are too easy now we have too many etc... But I do not agree with it and thought it would be good for people who felt like me to also have a chance to voice our opinion. Yes I bought donuts too but Bonuts always makes me feel more inclined in buying more premium buildings /items so I will be more inclined in buying more donuts. Removing virtually all our chance to get donuts during this event due to glitches or designs is discouraging for me, probably not as much for those who can spend thousands of real money on the game. I hope people who feel like me can speak up too so EA won't feel like it is a consensus that every player finds its too easy to get donuts now. Thanks.

Yes, they must be! Sure, they added the Rail Yard (giving some of us 5 donuts a week) and they added Maggie's minigame (giving us around 3 donuts every few days), and they gave us Daily Challenges (giving us 1-6 donuts a day when Events aren't happening), and they just had an event in which many players got LOTS of bonuts, and they retained the occasional Sideshow You donuts, and the Daily Challenge bonus prize is either more donuts or a mystery box that might contain donuts. We certainly will be "losing" donuts for this event, from the perspective of opportunity cost (I've gotten very little donuts from daily tasks due to all the event currency rewards). Not complaining or feeling a sense of entitlement, but like the OP I am certainly feeling the lack of donuts/bonuts this event.

There is no need of sarcasm. Maybe you guys are still getting donuts. For me, my friend visits won't give donuts from tapping bandits, my Maggie is glitched, Railyard is limited cause my characters are doing event jobs, daily challenges give event currency, sideshow you wasn't giving donuts, so tbh I haven't seen donuts almost since the event started (maybe only once for daily challenge reward before the mystery box) in the past 2 weeks. It is really good for you if you are still getting lots of donuts. But it is totally different for me. We just had an event where everyone had tons of Bonuts? I didn't have a lot. Was it a glitch I missed? Anyway, this is so strange. Sounds like I'm the only one not getting almost any donut since the event started? Everyone is still having tons of them? Then no wonder EA needs to nerf it. Thanks for your input. But if it is the contrary, please voice too so I know I'm not the only one who had almost no donuts for the past 2 weeks. Thanks

A year ago how many donuts were you getting each week?

Free donuts are a chance to get people to buy donuts. If you haven't noticed, there is very little you can buy with ingame cash these days and there is an event every week with a sea of pink in the store (usually at higher prices too). I know I am going to pass on those and put my ingame cash into donut farming.

You are right Stinkbugger. Compared to the last year where I can get one donut a day on average with friends visits, I'm indeed getting less donuts during this event in the past 2 weeks. And it is amazing how much hostility it generated in this thread when asking EA not to nerf our chance on getting donuts. Items and buildings are costing more donuts lately so every donut is useful at least to me. Wouldn't it be nice if we continue to be able to get a bit of donuts by working for it? Why are all these people so offended of the idea of Bonuts? It will always be a mystery to me. It would be nice though if more people who wants more donuts can voice their opinion too, not only the ones who don't want donuts.

Good point - almost none. 3-5 every three or so months from Sideshow you, only a few every other day from friends visits and then the three from leveling up. They have been considerably more generous over the past 4 or so months than they were a year ago.

Now here's the flip side - skins I bought during the Halloween and Christmas events when bonuts were scarce - zero. Skins and characters I bought during the past few events, including the mini events - ALL of them.

It's impulse spending 101 and there's a reason most businesses use sales, coupons, buy one get one frees, discounts, or loyalty awards (like when greenstamps were so popular) the more the consumer thinks they're getting, the more they're likely to spend.

I have 0 donuts and you offer me 400 donuts worth of new characters and skins where my options are to spend 20 bucks to get some or 50 bucks to get all and it's easier just to do completely without than just get half a set or spend more than I really should for a game I've already spent so much on.

But you give me 100 donuts and offer me 300 donuts worth of skins, then, yeah, I'm going to spend that 20 bucks to get them all and have 100 donuts left over for something else later. You get a 20 dollar sale instead of no sale.

Is EA more generous with donuts than they were a year ago? Yes. But they're not being as generous as they were the past two events and people are noticing.

And what we're talking about is the difference of all of 10 to 15 bonuts a round they're cutting. They're not going to make money but reducing the bonuts - the freemuim players will never pay, that's a non issue. The whales will always pay, that's also a non issue. But the real money doesn't come from either source, the real money comes from the mass of the players, like myself, who spend 30-50 dollars every month or two when we're happy. And, sorry, we're happier when we think we're getting something extra for the money we're spending.

Big picture in business, happy players spend more money than unhappy ones and bonuts tend to make more people happy than forum trolls telling them 'you get what the overlords give you and smile about it.'
