Weather Stations for DONUTS

This is all assuming you have a 0% bonus. Any additional just makes it better.

Edit: Check that. That xp amount has accounted for his bonus i think. So the math will be situational and you will have to input your own values.

Dang you're right, I never thought to take in the bonus% as a factor.

I guess this is assuming you have all premium items except Mt. Carl.
  • The base amount of XP for the Weather Station is 1000 XP for a total of 7125 money. If you are going to try to convert money into XP, you should probably use the Volleyball Net. That has a base XP of 500 for 3375 money, so you'll need to by 2 Volleyball Nets for every Weather station. The absolute best item is the 25$ shrub, but that takes for ever to earn any substantial XP.

I actually wrote a program to calculate the best items for converting money to XP. The 25$ shrub is always the best regardless of your bonus setting. There are a couple items that are more efficient than the Volleyball Net depending on your bonus (the 100$ tree and the 135$ Pylon), but the XP earned is low enough that I think the Volleyball Net is the way to go.

The Weather Stations give 2763 XP each.

The GIFT BOX with 1,2 or 3 donuts is 120,000 XP

    Each station is $9500
    Resell each station is $2375

Buy 47 Weather Stations for enough XP for Donuts out of the gift box.

    47 Weather Stations cost $446,500
Sell 47 Weather Stations for $111,625
So it technically costs $334,875 for a chance for 1,2 or 3 DONUTS. (50,000per chance at 3 donuts)

Since I'm a daily player since day one of the games release, I have about 25million dollars collected from characters/houses/businesses to throw at Weather Stations to get "FREE" donuts.

My Conformity bonus is 4.5% money & xp

    Hope this information helps someone.

Volleyball net gets you a little better bang for your buck.

For me personally (4.5 conformity bonus, overall bonus of almost 300%), the volleyball net gets me $1.37 per XP point, and the weather station gets me $1.45. Almost a $10k savings over 120k xp.

but it takes a lot more volleyball nets, so there's more time for buy/sell that could/should be considered

  • 25 mil? you gotta be farming the * out of the game with piles of premium stuff all over instead of having a built up/"proper" town. I farm a bit and have all the premium characters/buildings, and I'm just now hitting about a mil in a week after adding about a dozen cars to get my bonus % just over 100.

might as well abuse the Buddha for donuts if you're going to put that much effort for 1-3 donuts.
  • I admit I house farmed for the longest time, I had one of if not the worst looking Springfields around. But all that farming pays off, I didn't get to make use of the donut glitch like some lucky people... Would've saved me a lot of time and effort but I didn't know of the donut glitch until I saw a bunch of people complaining about it being patched/fixed in an update. I just am making use of my in game money now that I have it to get some more donuts before EA decides to get rid of the Gift Box of Donuts.
