I put my existing stock of Jack o lanterns out in random front yards on Oct 1. And i saved up over a million game cash. Now i just wait. Still chasing 5 donuts and tracks per week though. I need 35 more straights.
I always set my characters to end their batch of tasks at the time coinciding with when i expect to be able to log in again, so i rarely have to pull them from jobs. I may start an event a couple hours late but the crew will be ready for me to assign them.
I don't usually make an event zone, i like to integrate new items through out existing SF. So not really worried there.
Really i just check here a few times a day to see when the release comes because i have notifications and updates off. Then i check for the walk through took see who's needed for the first few tasks.
