Oh wow me too. They used to be a line, but are squares now. It shows how it used to be in image below where I'm placing a road, but once placed it turns to squares as the road above shows.

It may be, but some towns had pretty interesting road designs. Those who had double lane highways or grid placements (multiple 1 tile roads) are all gone now. All road designs changed to squares now.

My town hall centre looks terrible now... ;)
