I think to generate revenue they should do away with donuts and start doing packages with events. Just have the whole event/items for a wholesale price and do the event untimed at your own pace. First time I've heard of a shelbyville expansion. I'm all for more land and quest but I still have much land to obtain still currently.

It will end at some point. I believe the show has been pic ked up for at least 2 more seasons. My personal thought is that as long as the show airs, AND the game does not operate at a loss that it will be kept going. We will probably see much less development. I believe that is why there is more re-releases than original new content, to keep costs down. That being said, if the rumored Shelbyville expansion is an full expansion and a better success than the Heights, we may get a breath of life.
EA killed their own revenue stream with the end of the levels and the enormous number of donuts that can be obtained in game. They will need to find a way to generate sales, and the current 3 boxes and the huge amount of items that have been re-released are very appealing to newer users. I know people who have been playing less than 6 months who are purchasing donuts consistently to obtain the older items.
My two cents.
