Is the forum dying? Or is it just me?
You're dying?
Hahahaha!- I haven't seen a "give us Maggie" thread in awhile...
- i'm seeing a lot of activity over in the showcase section but that's about it.
- Used to post a lot, but I mostly just check in once or twice a day to catch up on what's new. The reason for me to stop posting had in most parts to do with fatigue of playing the game itself. It was right around the Clash if Clans event I got tired of playing and I even quit playing for nearly 2 months.
In addition to the fatigue I have grown tired of a few members on here, especially on that kept on sending me PM's, claiming that I had stolen his username and made a Twitter account with it. But this is only a partial reason for posting less.
So in my case, the less contributing to the forum is due to the tiredness of playing this game for +3 years. I am sure a lot of other people feel the same. I used to have 100 neighbours in the first TSTO christmas event, of which only 4 of them are still active. Everyone else stopped playing over the years, many of them I have met on this forum. And your country 8)- I come often on the forum whenever I have a question, but there is almost always an answer, so I don't post.
Hi all, by the way ! :) Pinkspaceangel wrote:

Hi all, by the way ! :)
And hello to you too! :Dcdepast wrote:
sadly there have been a couple bad apples that have driven away forum regulars. Everything is a cycle. As attrition takes place, new members will replace the old.
This is a valid point. We have seen this happen right before our eyes - I recall not too long ago a thread made by someone who usually just lurks on the forum. He did nothing wrong and was met with a nasty reply by someone almost immediately - and to the credit of the majority of the people on the forum, people expressed their outrage about the nasty post.
That is just one example, though. This happens time and time again. Someone states an opinion, someone disagrees and then the mud slinging starts. We have all seen it. And it usually is just a couple of bad apples that are doing it (not always the same ones). I know that the MOD team does their best to stop this, but there is really only so much they can do as there is so much going on here. Instead of discussions, we often see mud slinging and bullying. It scares away potential new contributors, and some of the older forum members have gotten to the point where they are so tired of seeing this and/or being the target of this that they feel they have to leave.
I think that we all need to remember to respect each other a bit more. No single one of us is better than any other member - that includes EVERYONE. We all have valid opinions whether others agree or not. If we keep these things in mind and stick to discussion and having fun rather than belittling, bullying and harassing then people will start to come here again. We may even see some old faces return.Themanisbacknick wrote:

I think Nick also makes a good point. People come and people go - such is the nature of a forum. Circle of life, and such.suetopia wrote:

Thats why I dont participate in discussions, there is always mud slinging comment with at the end your the "Bad person"
Also all things you say is riped out of its context and deliberately misunderstood.
Thats childish and I do not participate suchs topics
Respect and friendly is my moto. 8)
