It will probably come back imo, without stackables people will just stop visiting other people (i know i will, except for those few IRL friends which town really interests me).
It's also a matter of fairness to new players. I have more tiles that i can use but to get that amount it will take almost a year according to wiki, and around 1,8 million $ if i recall. I'm pretty sure that if EA wanted us to get tiles that way they wouldn't have left the so called glitch there for so long.
And then there is the matter of how much money stackables give to EA. I bought donuts with some IRL money because i wanted arnie pye fast. How about the stage? Pretty much the same i think. I would have never bought arnie if it wasn't for the stackable ch6, and EA would have never earned that money from me. I don't consider myself a premium player, i toss some money every now and then in the game but i usually can't afford much. Stackables were the reason of some of that money. I think that EA has thought about that, that's why the "glitch" stayed in the game and will probably get in again. Hopefully we'll stop calling it a glitch then :)
