But this isn't suppose to be about odds to begin with. It's about you putting in work and potentially getting nothing out of it. After previous events, the failure dissuaded me from trying like I would if it was an event where there were set goals, such as the Halloween event.
I really like the idea of community prizes with everyone working towards the same goal. As far as the individual prizes are concerned, I'm not competitive and I'm not a gambler, so I think that's why the more straightforward 'finishing line' approach appeals to me more. Commercially, however, it's perhaps not such a successful model for EA, and we have to bear that in mind.
