Why did EA forget about updating krustyland?
Well, there's only so much to Krustyland... I'd rather them be true to the show than start inventing things for the sake of updates.

There were still rides from the show they could add. Not to mention decorations. Or have new rides. Plenty of decorations in the main game that were never in the show (fountain, orange trees, firework barge, etc.) They could still do plenty without compromising the integrity. More food stands, lighting, public restrooms, drinking fountains... The possibilities are endless!
