Why does The Mayflower have a Danish flag?

Better tell the owners of the Mayflower II that they should be flying the Union Jack then, even as a replica it flies the Flag of *. George in honor of England, his majesty the king, and as they were operating under an English charter when they settled the colony. 8)


But long story short, it's a simple error in coloring. It switched red and white accidentally creating another country's flag. It'll happen from time to time on other things in the game 8)
