Why limited prizes for freemium players?
The idea behind it is to tempt you into buying character that you don't have changing you from freemium to premium.

If you noticed, Fit Milhouse is being rereleased as a daily task prize a couple of days before he's needed for the daily task. Given the current daily task prize structure, you'll have the skin before it's needed. That being said, I'm not happy with the front loading of currently premium tap ball players.
