- I don't think Futurama has enough characters to really make a solid game of it's own. And anyway, Fry can always be found wandering around in Krustyland. I'm sure it's him. He is just wearing different clothes.
What I would pay $$$ to have:
-Planet Express (Building) - comes with Farnsworth
-Cyrogenics Lab (Building) - comes with Fry
-Manhole to Sewer (Building) - comes with Leela
-Bender
-Zoidberg (Limited time character)
-Hermes (Limited time character)
I'd be tempted to leave it at just those guys. By making them donut purchases, then the people who dont want a futurama connection don't have to add them...
The other possibility is a Futurama expansion like Krustyland, but I suspect this wouldn't be as fun. And it would be annoying to those who want to keep Springfield pure.
But the real question is - how do we convince EA that this idea would be at least worth investigating even if proves to be a no-goer. - I believe Matt Groening is the producer (ie owner) of both "The Simpsons" and "Futerama". The channels have the right to broadcast the shows but they don't own them.
So it is possible that a crossover is possible but I would prefer NEW NEW YORK City be in a separate area like Krustyland - I guess the difficulty with a different area, is that it becomes a quest line - and once done, it gets ignored. I have not even finished my Krustyland because I keep ignoring the thing in my task list.
- I have seen adds about it being a crossover to family guy, and since there two separate games, I highly doubt where getting anything
- Maybe we won't get anything but we do know the powers that be do read the forum from time to time.
I'd love to get a universe in a box to put in my springfield Peppermallow wrote:

I really hope that's how they do the crossover on the show, them time traveling would be a real finger in the eye of continuity.- Futurama was produced by The Curiosity Company, not Gracie Films, and the last few seasons were in fact owned by Comedy Central. Seems like a whole lot of rights for EA to negotiate.
I have to wonder why people start these threads without thinking of what it would actually involve. It's is the same with the World Cup, celebrity characters, and anything else not specifically owned by Gracie Studios. Highly unlikely that EA is going to negotiate and pay for rights to include those items in what is essentially a free game. And once you start making the items cost donuts you can open up a whole other can of worms with the original copyright holders asking for a percentage. - jukan00New Spectator^^^^^ To be fair Comedy Central only owns the syndication rights to replay the television show.
FOX still owns all legal rights to the show. It could definitely happen.
(and by it we're talking about them showing up as freemium/premium episode tie-in's, right?) - brown_supaheroSeasoned NoviceHave fry start in SF, then have him start a new area like KL. anywho give me a new level and something to do already. My SF is sitting idle, no tasks to do.
- My opinion: This is a Simpsons game. If you like Futurama or Family Guy or SpongeBob Squarepants that is great, but this is a Simpsons game. Also people who think this could ever happen are a tiny bit naive about the financial implications this would bring...you think the owners of the Futurama content are going to let it into a Simpsons game without some serious cash considerations?
