We had night mode during this past Halloween. It had mixed feelings for many. And I doubt we see a rotating day/night based on time of day ever.

I dislike Nite Mode... I have enough of dim Springfield from the last two Halloween, give me the creeps...

It is always noon in Springfield (llok at the shadows), So don't know how they would gradually turn to night

I'd love night mode too! It would be cool of it went with your devices clock. Also I'm sure it wouldn't be a huge problem for them to code an on/off switch for night mode for those who don't want it. It could go in the same settings where the donut confirmation setting is.

OP, you should've made a poll of this, it would've been interesting to see the results! Night mode would be very cool to see if implemented correctly. What was considered night mode last Halloween seemed more hazy and cloudy and was a strain on my eyes :shock: but it was still a very neat effect. As mentioned by another poster in this thread, if they could make night mode where it follows your devices clock, or a button to override it as used in Snoopy's Street Fair. Then they could actually make street lights and fireworks and jack o lanterns and buildings like Aztek make a really cool glow! :-o

Only if it was controllable and the mechanic had gameplay applications. Make it night time, then send Bart to sneak around and graffiti, have Fruitbatman fight crime, etc.
