- Ahhh that, yeah for some forums transferred multi personas but due to Vanilla system being different some indeed had problems. Mainly those with multi personas, they could only access one and it was usually not the one they wanted.
- The only way I know, is to download ‘Origin’ on your computer, whether you have PC or a Mac.
Login using your user name and password (the one you use to login to this forum)
And after you login via origin, you can easily change your user name from there.
(I would give you more detail if I was on my computer with origin, but it’s easy enough to see for yourself.
When you come back to this site, you will notice your user name has changed. "adruralo;c-1770626" wrote:

Someone please correct me if I’m in error, but it appears to me as though you can also change your user name on the Origin web site."KrustyBrand;c-1770715" wrote:

You can, just checked.
It asks you then to edit on EA.com and after answering a security question that you set up previously, you can then change your user name."adruralo;c-1780581" wrote:

I should know this but refresh my memory, does it delete all your old posts?- @johncolombo
No, it doesent. On Vanilla your username will just update the next time you log in and that is it. All your post history will be intact!
You must have been thinking about jForums and old forums. There if you changed your username ID, the forums would generate a new persona that starts from zero based on your new Origin ID/nucleus and you would lose access to your previous one with all your posts. Same would apply for any other type of persona such as PSN, Xbox and so on and so on. If you changed your name at the source, you would lose access to that persona and its contents after re-logging.
Lucky for us that will no longer happen with the new forums!
EDIT: for anyone in this thread, see this page here on how to change usernames or any other account information: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/account/if-you-forgot-your-ea-account-id-or-password . "XXXO77O4906;c-1782770" wrote:

We must have had some hiccups when we first switched to vanilla. This one guy had a hard time with changing his forum name but we did it for him. Pretty sure the move messed up his accounf. That's what I was remembering.- When are they go ing to make a new event? I only see the Christmas of 2018.
