Max friend amount reached????

Please help me. I've been catching up to my husband lately. I've added friends like crazy(80 total or so) and I'm level 12. He is level 21 and has 24 friends, his account tells him he reached the limit. Why is his limit 24 but mine is over 80 and i can still add??? I doesn't make sense.

He's tried logging out and back in, still didn't help.

A few things.

1) Device. IOS has 100 friends. I think Android is less, like 60ish maybe (or so I've heard)? Not sure, this may have been corrected.

2) The friends he's adding may already have 100 friends or at their max. So I think it may still give you that generic prompt.

3) Finally, if he is using his main Origin account, and has friends with people for other games, origin itself is maxed at 100. So if only 24 of his friends play tapped out, he will have to remove friends that don't in order to get more that do play Tapped Out.
