Maximum Friends

Possibly. Do you have other EA games? Origin is likely used for those games, and the limit is 100 total. So if you only 14 TSTO friends, it seems like you have 86 friends with other games.

I'd remove those friends without TSTO first.

    The only other origin game I have is Fifa 14 for my android phone, and I have no friends on this.

    This. The person you are trying to add may have max friends. Just ignore or delete their invite and continue trying to add people.
