Question about Gold and upgrade
No- your gold total will not decrease. Gold is cumulative and cannot go down

Gold was the currency used to earn prizes during the Clash of Clones 2014 Event. Gold was earned by defending buildings in your town from attacks. Gold could also be used to upgrade characters. These upgrades did not lower the amount of gold that the player had.

once you reach these gold amounts you get a prize for that quest, that gold does not go down it is total gold earned.

However you can spend gold to upgrade homer and other things, while these drains the gold you have it does not lower the gold collected for the quest.

So if you need 800 for the cheaters 20 and have 700 but then spend 200 upgrading homer your gane will say you have 500 gold but as soon as you reach 600 your quest for 800 will be done as you had 700 total collected

ok I understand that. My problem is is that i upgraded homer to lvl 3 and lisa to lvl 2, which is 1950 gold. So i should have that amount stored toward the 5000 gold to earn marge, but I did not get marge until my gold total on my gold was 5000 after i spent the 1950.

what your telling me is that if marge is 5000 gold and i have 4500 gold and spend spend 500 gold i have to make up that 500 that i spent plus the last 500? effectively making marge 5500 gold.
