Thanksgiving was an ingame update.
All I can suggest is uninstall and reinstall the app

- Sounds like you're on iOS. So am I - my version includes the Thanksgiving update and is 4.5.2, so it sounds like you're up-to-date.
Uninstalling and re-installing sounds like a good bet.
