My neighbor's town loads. Immediately haunt 3 buildings (typically pick 1 of 8 directions and grab 3 buildings that are remotely close to each other). Then start tapping on 5 ghosts. I usually only have to tap the last 2-3 ghost's goo and all of it is collected immediately. I visited like 50 Springfields last night (after a night off) in like 45 minutes. So I'm not drawing out the length of time, I want to get it over with A.S.A.P. but I hardly get a chance to leave before everything collects. Usually only have to wait a second or two for all the haunts to auto-collect.
The screen that pops up is only triggered by the buildings. If you grab ghosts & drop gremlins
before haunting any buildings, you should be good to go.
In any case, if the screen pops up before you drop your gremlins, you can dismiss it & drop them anyway.
