updates getting harder and harder to complete!!!!!!!

i play 3 times a day minimum freemium and send the children on the trick or treat quest every 8 hours and visit neighbors and i only just got the bulldozer-saurus so you must play 24/7

How many kids do you have? Do you send all your alien eggs out to neighbors frequently? I only play 3-4 times a day and my kids who play at the same frequency are far behind me (I'm approaching the hovercraft and they're just now getting the 'dozersaurus). I think the difference is #of trick or treaters.

I have been playing this update freemium and I'm on track to finish on time. I work full time and can only log in a lot after work. I do have two premium kids and I am at Level 46 and have all the freemium kids too.

All of the special event updates are extremely easy. Freemium player and always finish collecting all the prizes at least a few days early. As far as this one goes, I guess it just depends on how many kids you can send trick or treating.

Yeah for me it also feels that it's much harder. I'm playing this game way too much and still I couldn't get the donut torture device.

I guess I don't have enough Springfield youngsters, but that would mean I would have to pay money/donuts for more youngsters to complete this, which I won't. I only have Squeeky voice teen (who needs 16 hrs to trick or treat!)

Also, I really had no problem completing previous events (before CoC), with some effort though, as a freemium player without spending donuts. I really feel that the people in this thread above me who are boldly claiming that these events are 'very easy to complete as a freemium player' are either exaggerating or actually have spent donuts on either premium characters before the event (like having more 'youngster' characters and so forth). Or they are just trolling.

I came on to say just this. I've been playing for... Three years now? Halloween 2012 was hard because I was still starting the game, but it seemed easy for an established player. Same with Christmas 2012. Whacking Day was exhausting, but I finished it once they extended the event. Since then, most updates were a breeze until they put in the Wheel of Chance, and I never have great luck. CoC I sort of petered out on...

But this Halloween? I've been playing oh... Five, six times a day? I would need 2000 ray guns in 15 hours to finish this. The only thing I got so far was the Bulldozersausus because of Jewish Holidays (a completely separate issue that conflicts with updates every. Single. Time. But that's all I'll say on the matter, because I bet I'm in a super small minority).

On top of that, I only JUST got enough to build Hugo, and aside from walls and the Human Test Subject, I haven't enough to craft anything. It looks like I'm only about halfway there on most of them, and seeing as they all conflict on resources, I'll be lucky to get anything out of this at the end of the update.

I just feel like I'm doing something wrong..

I just want to say, I agree 100% with the OP. I play every day, 5 or 6 times most days, and I am still almost 1800 away from getting the helicopter. I hardly get ammo, and still need 55 chocolate bars to build the Pumpkin House. Hopefully, this last update will be more well-balanced when giving out prizes.

Also that wheel of chance during Valentine's drove me nuts, you're definitely not the only one with bad luck.. And I even heard you can get donuts as a prize for shooting down the UFO, of course I haven't had that either.

I'm kind of conflicted with this topic.. I do think the event is somewhat easy.. It really is.. So far I have got every "Prize" for the probes and ray guns, in which, I just got the Copter, with 23 hours left in the "Ray Gun" part of the event.. I do have MOST of the kids in the game, other than the NEWEST premium child characters, and I send the kids out CONSTANTLY trick or treating.. The only part I'm finding "hard" about this event, is getting the items for "crafting!" Seemed to take me FOREVER to get the Spooky House, which I got a few days ago.. I FINALLY, just 8 hours ago or so, got enough items to craft the Pumpkin (Dang Chocolate Bars!! HAHA), but now I'm in the dilemma, do I craft the Pumpkin, or wait for this Queen and Hut or whatever, that I've kinda read about.. Am I going to even have enough items to craft those prizes?! Hahaha.. I think the only thing that has bothered me with this event is the "Ammo" to shoot down "UFO's".. I find MAYBE 2 pieces of ammo every 3 days, but the majority of "prizes" I have received from the "UFO's" is a lousy "Bronze Treat Bag," Like who really cares?? I can get that from squishing a rigellian or one of my trick or treaters in 8 hours.. Whatever.. It is what it is!
