AI’s are too defensive on hard mode, and have very little offense on Normal mode

Product: UFC 5
Platform:PlayStation 5
Summarize your bug I can’t play custom events on hard mode anymore, because the AI’s defense is too over powered after the latest patch. I also find it difficult to play on normal mode as theres just simply not enough offense. The game is ruined for me, and this is the only game I play
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play custom events on hard mode and notice how about 85% of your strikes are now blocked far too easily
What happens when the bug occurs? You end up with high percentage of volume to your strikes, though with very little landing
What do you expect to see? The defense on hard mode not to be quite as overpowered as it is now. The offense is perfectly fine, but the defense is completely bugged.

I’m not sure why nobody else is agreeing with me on this, and I hope that doesn’t play a role in rather or not this “bug” gets fixed, as this used to be my favorite game to play, the only game I play… and now it seems pretty close to unplayable. I’m pleading with the EA team to please test this for yourselves to see that I’m not just being over sensitive, and in correcting this error please let the created fighter’s height remain the same (a bug that I noticed in UFC 4 after patches)

This is the only game I care to play, please do me a favor and check this to see for yourselves, and to please fix it as well. I may not get many “me too’s” or likes on this post, but that doesn’t make the problem any less evident. Please get this fixed for me EA, this is seriously my favorite game. Peace and blessings🙏🏼

  • Career mode is equally as bad.  Opponents in hard mode are faster, more accurate, and can move around the ring at such higher levels it is ridiculous.  1.5 star was scrubs that can stuff you with straights ever time you throw a jab.  They will sidestep twice and be practically behind you before you complete the strike.  They break your block in 2-3 strikes, walk through your combos, and rock you regularly.  Hard mode to a big step toward “Good freaking luck”.

  • Definitely agree with everything you said! It's very frustrating ro have 85% of your strikes evaded by swaying or the ai having the perfect counter to every strike. The ai can interrupt my combo but I can't interrupt theirs.

When I am able to slip a strike my counter very seldom if ever registers.

I will say I have more fun playing the ai on simulation.

I jack up the ai striking to 60 or 80%. The fight is much more enjoyable and the game slows down a bit with less volume being thrown.

I switch between Sim mode in hard, pro and legendary.

Much more fun than competitive mode - but the ai is still a master at lunging and striking with zero stamina lol.
