Career Mode offline suggestions, small changes that would make a big difference
I know Career Mode cannot be completely rebuilt overnight, and I’m not asking for a full revolution. But as an offline Career Mode player, I think a few small options would already make the mode much more enjoyable.
The first thing would be more freedom with weight classes. In Career Mode, we should be able to choose any realistic weight class for fighters who have competed there or clearly belong there. For example, Islam Makhachev should be available at Lightweight, Alex Pereira should be available at Middleweight, and other fighters with realistic alternate divisions should not be locked to only one category.
It would also be great if we could choose which division each fighter appears in for our offline career universe. If I want Pereira in Middleweight instead of Light Heavyweight, or Makhachev in Lightweight, that should be possible in offline mode. This would not affect online balance, but it would make Career Mode much more immersive.
Another small but important option would be to hide fighter ages in Career Mode. Seeing every fighter’s age does not really add much, and it often makes the mode feel more artificial, especially when fighters randomly retire.
Finally, I think offline players should have some control over fighter retirements. It is frustrating when you want to build toward a fight against a specific athlete, but they randomly retire and get replaced by a generic fighter. A simple setting like “allow real fighters to retire: on/off” or “manual retirement control” would make a huge difference.
I am not asking for a completely new Career Mode. Just a few small options like these would make offline Career Mode feel much better
For players who mostly play offline, these details would make Career Mode much more enjoyable and help us create better long-term careers.
