Feature Request: Allow Custom Movesets & Perks for Offline CAFs

The Problem: Currently in UFC 6, creating a character from the main menu completely locks us into rigid, pre-defined Archetype templates. If I want to fight offline against the CPU in 'Fight Now' or custom events, I cannot manually equip a custom combination of individual moves, strikes, or perks. I am forced to use standard templates.

Why it Matters: A massive part of the replayability in sandbox combat games is the freedom to create unique, custom fighters with highly specific playstyles for offline simulation. Forcing every custom character into a strict archetype structure ruins creative expression and severely limits offline, casual gameplay against the AI.

Proposed Solution: Add a "Custom" Archetype Option: In the Main Menu Create-A-Fighter hub, add a blank archetype option that lets us manually assign any unlocked move, level variant, and perk line-by-line.Separate Offline and Online CAF Systems: If balancing competitive multiplayer is the reason for the archetype restriction, simply flag fully customized CAFs as "Offline Only" so they cannot be taken into ranked online modes.

Please give offline sandbox players the freedom to build their own custom move-lists!

I think you’re arguing against something that wasn’t even suggested. The post isn’t asking for predetermined combo chains or Street Fighter-style mechanics. It’s asking for more freedom when creating offline CAFs. Being able to customize a fighter’s moveset and perks has nothing to do with turning UFC into an arcade game. If anything, it’s the opposite. Real fighters have unique arsenals, strengths, and specialties. Giving players the ability to build a fighter around those traits adds more depth, identity, and replayability. The suggestion even specifies separating offline and online CAFs, so competitive balance wouldn’t be affected. If someone wants to build a Muay Thai specialist with unique elbows and knees, or a flashy taekwondo striker with spinning attacks, they should be able to do that in offline sandbox modes without impacting online play. Calling that an “arcade mindset” doesn’t really make sense. RPGs, sports games, and simulations all let players customize builds. That’s player expression, not arcade gameplay. The current archetype system actually limits creativity because so many CAFs end up feeling like slight variations of the same templates. More customization would give offline players a reason to experiment with different fighting styles while keeping the actual gameplay exactly the same.

  • how much more custom do you want? the combos are freestyle, you can string combos however you like, within logical reason. i can understand being able to assign more "specialized" moves like the spinning stuff and axe kicks and what have you, but this isn't Street Fighter with predetermined "combo chains," which is what it sounds like you're asking for. You can literally throw any type of combination you want. There's no need to customize anything. You truly do have an arcade mind. Wrong game for you and that's ok.
