We should have a way to disable "Flow State"

Yep, I wrote here about this as well. Its kinda cool like you said but honestly seems pretty annoying.

Oh my god, the visuals of it just killed the realism for me.  

It’s supposed to be an MMA game.   Not Mortal Kombat.    

Why would they do this without the option to turn it off?

It's lame, adds nothing, looks stupid and all that happens is one person activates it, and the other spends the next 15 seconds running away or just immediately takes them down. Well, this is what I usually do at least. It adds nothing to the game. Maybe make it more of a background thing that happens as a momentary advantage, for example, if a number of strikes are slipped in a row, you get a big power advantage to your next counter strike, or if multiple transitions are denied in a row on the ground, you get an even bigger boost in speed to the next transition or two. Or maybe if you come forward and land a 4-strike combination without missing, you get a slight buff to stamina recovery after. Just something small and momentary based on something difficult to do that actually would imply being in a "flow state".

At least the visual effects. Most players don't care for that arcadey look. EA should take note. The flow state concept is okay. It doesn't seem overpowered or even out of place. It just incentivizes players to play somewhat similar to the real-life style of the fighters they are using. But the special visual effects need to go, or at the very least have an option to turn them off.

I agree xxReplayFaktorxx If they can't turn it off entirely they should at least adjust the abhorrent visuals.

The current Flow State Visuals are highly controversial due to its arcade style esthetic that directly conflicts with the games attempt and marketing as Simulation Gameplay.

As EA Game Changers and the Broader community has requested to have this be something you can turn on or off, I understand that you may still need a visual queue for the gameplay, therefore I put forth a suggestion that keeps the mechanic still available, accessible, and immediately more tolerable.

Instead of turning the entire screen gray and muffling the audio, a more fitting approach would be to keep the effect subtle by having the Flow State meter gain a glowing, sparkling, or fiery outline when activated. This would clearly indicate the state is active without distracting from the gameplay or altering the overall presentation.

This would instantly read as polished, less invasive, and more familiar with other EA game titles and other sport franchises.

If you wish to combat any negative press, feedback, loss of sales, refunds, etc I highly suggest this be something patched in within the first few patches. Not something the community has to wait another 3 years for.

With the utmost confidence this change would come with huge fan fair and grant a more favorable view of the devs and game title. With such sentiment and remarks,

"Wow they actually are listening to our feedback and made the changes we asked for and now the game looks better. I am going to buy, recommend, and support the game long term now".

Sincerely, someone that knows what the community wants/needs.

Flow state is really cool, but the animation breaks the immersion.

Can you provide some transparency on who specifically receives feedback like this once it's collected from the forums? Does it go directly to the gameplay team, designers, producers, or another department?

What is the process after that? Is feedback reviewed on a regular basis, discussed internally, and how it is prioritized?

Also, at what point can players expect communication on whether changes are being considered, actively worked on, or not being pursued?

How will we be notified?
