absolutely no mini games. we don't need that arcade garbage. a game like this needs to be fully playable without any sort of HUD. mini games are disconnected and has no semblance to what's actually going on. they could just as well use a space invaders or pac man overlay for the submission mini game. it wouldn't be any more unrrealistic or immersion-breaking than any of the previous mini-games.

What? What sense does that make? A mini game for the submission system makes the submission engaging. It's part of mma. Undisputed 3 had a mini game for subs and it had a minimal hud and that's seen as the best MMA game ever made. Plus the current no mini game system makes it so that you have to do multiple subs to get down the meter for a tap. That doesn't happen in real mma. So a fighter doing 3 or 4 subs isn't realistic usually it's one one sub maybe two if you break out. But having no way to determine if I get a tap versus a meter that's some arcade garbage I have to waste your meter for a submission win? No thanks. Mini all the way versus a stupid meter drain process

no i don't want any HUD. EA got this right and unfortunately for you it's not changing. this submission system is perfect. obviously people win with it. i suspect the ones who lose hate it. While you're at it, what do you think about having a mini game for aiming punches? like a whack a mole overlay on the screen each time you throw a punch. if you whack the mole your punch connects, if you miss, then the punch whiffs. sounds like your kind of game

No. I wouldn't like that. That sounds beyond stupid. This current sub system is just a stalling system. You wait and wait to cancel out transitions and waste stanima. First rule of gaming it needs to be fun. Me sitting in a submission system while my opponent waits for me to move and if it do he blocks if he moves I block it isn't fun. A mini game that made movement happen in the submission system is a better direction. And while we're at it do you like how ground and pound is in this game and the last two? Where they hinder your amount of punches and make you go to closed guard in postured up positions? Because that's another thing that needs to go. These two additions hinder wrestler and jujutsu artist alike it makes people not want to play as them but sure give a goofy answer about some BS wake a mole mini game.

Anything that ruins immersion isn't fun. I'm glad EA is finally beginning to understand this and is listening less and less to arcade-minded players who have no respect for the sport. There are other arcade fighting games out there, tons more, for players like you, lots of glowy flashy meters. Go enjoy them. Clearly UFC 6 is not for you and there's nothing wrong with that.

what does that flashy BS have to do with anything I said? And your funny because so many people are complaining about the grappling and you make it seem like it's good? It's not good it's a trash grappling system they make a stand up game not a MMA game. Your a stand up fighter you like the striking that ok but that's not all mma. I'm a MMA fan not just a stand up fan. They made grappling boring and dull and you can like that but that's not a proper MMA game.

No, players always complain when they suck at something and they lose. If you have a better system you can come up with for grappling, pitch it to EA. But anything that requires mini-games that have absolutely no connection or semblance to the sport has to go. Like I said, they could put a mini game for every little action. Have candycrush pop up for the submissions. That's just as realistic as any mini-game.

If you think players are mad at the grappling system because they suck at it you haven't played undisputed 3 or the first 3 UFC games. Since 4 they have disrespected the grappling and wrestling. They only care about who's popular and the martial art they used the covers show what they care about.
Ufc1: jones and Alexander Gustafson:a striker and alexander and a grappler in Jones.
Ufc2:Connor McGregor and Ronda Rousey again striker and grappler
Ufc3:Connor and the icon edition was mighty mouse. A striker and a well rounded fighter in all forms of mma
Ufc4: Issy and Jorge two strikers
Ufc5: volk and Valentina two strikers
Ufc6: poaton and Holloway two strikers
And it shows they have made wrestling restricted in the first 3 you as a postured up fighter could strike with hammer fist, elbows and as many strikes as long as you were defending the transition. In four and onward they put a times window on the position so if the bottom fighter defended long enough they were saved by the game clinch is super easy to escape when in the early one it was treated the same as the ground game you had to break the lock up now you just back up and apparently a high level athlete can't hold on? They don't focus on a major aspect of mma they have put the grappling aside for years starting with UFC 4 and haven't done anything to make it better. Even submissions are a stalling system to just drain stanima no fun. Just waiting and blocking advances back and forth. This is a game. The first rule of games is. Fun. You may not like the mini games but they added a aspect to the game that was engaging this current model isn't. Even undisputed 3 had a mini system and that game had a minimal HUD and could have no hud just the sub mini game and that still loved as the best MMA game. They cared about grappling and the stand up. These past few counting this one only care about the stand up
