Try going to the Xbox settings > Devices & connections > Accessories. Make sure your controller has the latest firmware update. If that doesn't work, do you happen to have another controller you can try?
The controller did indeed need an update. After the update was complete, I restarted the Xbox for good measure and attempted quick fight again. Same problem. I also tried with another controller with no success.
Please note that it only happens with Quick Fights. I can play Blitz mode just fine.

Can you try deleting and reinstalling the game?

Since the update I've not had the problem, my issues were the exact same as the other user, and I'd also like to note that the Power Cycle and uninstalling the game did not work.

Great! Glad to hear the update resolved this for you. If you have any other issues, let us know. Thanks!

@EA_Aljo The update did not work for me. The bug is still occurring for me but something strange happened. I chose quick fight after the update and it worked for about 2 days. On the 3rd day it started doing it again and I am once again unable to play Quick Fight mode.

Do you have the game installed on an external or internal hard drive?

@EA_Aljo Internal hard drive.

Thanks. That should be fine. Can you try deleting and downloading your gamertag? You can do this by going to Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

@EA_Aljo So that seems like it may have worked. I will come back after a couple days and let you know. Hoping it's just not a coincidence that it started working again temporarily like over the weekend. Thanks.

Sounds good. If you could update me in a couple days, I'd appreciate it. Good luck!
- 5 years ago@EA_Aljo The issue came back and I was unable to move during quick fight. I removed the account once again and it fixed the issue. This seems to be a temporary workaround. The issue comes back after a set period of time.

Thanks for the update. It's a weird issue for sure. Unfortunately, I can't think of anything else that would resolve this. Should I have an update, I'll let you know, but for now, the same method you've been using will need to be repeated. I'm really sorry. I know that's very frustrating. Out of curiosity, do you have another gamertag you can try? I'd like to see if it's happening on all accounts on this console. Also, do you have another console by chance? It would be good to see if this happens there as well.
Edit: We're also passing this on for investigation so hopefully, I'll have some news in the near future, but if you could get back to me on what I suggested, that would be appreciated. Thanks!
- 5 years ago@EA_Aljo That's pretty disappointing. This is the only game where I've seen issues like this. Really seems to be related to the game itself. I do not have another account and I won't have another console until the series X comes out.

Can you create another gamertag to test it out? We're just not getting many reports of this so there's a trial and error process of finding out what's causing it to happen.

I am having the same problem on the xbox one s , i made an upgrade to the controller, it works in carer mode but not in online fights. it seems that there is a problem with the game not the console. they should fix this problem

i am not the one with this problem, people just quit playing online mode because of this bug

and saying that we need to use another console or another controller i would rather just not play the game.
