GNP is fine the way it is!

Honestly I love the Current GNP I think it’s great from the top and the bottom. I can see how some people can assume it’s OP when you’re on your back and it seems hopelessly impossible to fight off the guy/women on top. But it really isn’t you just need to put some time into figuring out the system and timing transitions, reversals & submissions.

keep practicing people.

  • @BupeSoup Yeah! Great gnp in which the guy on top cant control the time he wants to he in that transition... in which you can’t throw elbows, in which the guy on bottom can do nothing, just try to evade punches until a magical transition takes place... it is not good. Any unskilled player can survive or win with gnp. It is trash!

This. It feels so gross compared to the last game. It's basically spam punches until you have no stamina, or throw 2-3 punches then be forced back down again. How does that make any sense? I'm trying to enjoy the game but its a God damn effort.

Edit: Elbows, wtf? Where are they?

  • 100% disagree. The ground and pound is awful top to bottom. Giving the attacker a grace period where no transitions can be performed is trash. The attacker needs to be responsible for keeping the guy down with strikes/denies. The attacker needs to have the ability to throw more than two kinds of strikes. The guy on bottom needs to responible for transitioning, the blocking/posting system is a mess. The posts don't work half the time, the sways are the only reliable way. All three big changes (clinch, gnp, subs) were completely unwarranted and the final product is objectively worse than the old one. UFC 4 ground and pound is limited and plays more like a minigame than part of the fight. It feels like it was designed for a mobile game. This new system is horrible. I am praying they change it.
