Ground Elbows and Strikes
What I don’t understand, is why remove elbows from GNP? How can EA market brand new improved GNP without this. The elbows from top guard, half guard, and mount has been in MMA forever WHAT is going on? All they have to do is make elbows the same controls as throwing elbows in the clinch which is I believe is R1 + Uppercut Controls.
Also, the postured down dom position uppercut strikes need to be replaced with hooks strikes. When you are on top laying on top of sub opponent, fighters usually throw short little hooks not uppercuts from the ground. I really don’t know who decided on the uppercuts.
Lastly, we still need sub opponents to cover up during every TKO finish and increase the time allowed for knockout follow up strikes by 2-3 seconds. I think also allowing any combos of strike whether it’s hammer fist, straights with two hands, or hooks should be allowed. Watch the knockout sequence of DC vs Stipe 1.
There is a weird lag between the time you throw a punch after knockout and the referee stopping the fight, everyone is frozen. This KO and TKO need to be less restrictive with better referee animations and response.
