I'm done. Thanks guys.
Like thanks for taking a month to fix some bugs that's been there since launch but this game man... I can't do it.. You just made it easier to find stand and bang for quickfight. Updated popular fig...
Equally upsetting is these gutless devs are too afraid to address these issues publicly. At least fix the stamina issues to stop guys from throwing these monkey 10 piece combos.
Frame rate and speed is awful each fight feels the exact same. Next time have real fight fans work on the game.
I signed up for Sim not arcade. UFC 2 brought me in and UFC 4 is taking me out. Well done EA you continue to be the most pathetic gaming company around. Ill never spend another dime on your trash games again.
@halobinladenA realistic sim fighting game would frustrate the younger players, whom are clearly the target audience for this game. EA want an easy arcady game a child can pick up and play and understand. It's all about money and sales, not the actual MMA gaming fan base. This game wasn't made for us like UFC 3 was. It's made for kids. Why? Because no micro transactions. They need to make the extra money to make up for the losses from no micro transactions. So they made a sh**ty arcade game with unicorns and all, with the incentive of marketing sales to young naive kids who wouldn't enjoy a technical sim game, the game that the rest of us actually want.
UFC2 - LOTS of MicroTrans from UltimateTeam = $$$$
UFC3 - Not as many MT's from UT = Not as much $$$$ What do we do now? Result is:
UFC4 - No UT, No MT's, no sh*ts given. Market fighting game to kids to increase base sales to make up for losses.
Not cool.
Sorry, I'm ranting, I just so angry with this game.
Edit: Maybe someone should contact some gaming journalists about this? This s*** show would make a great story. Then something might actually be done about this mess?
@MatthewMcGeary really not sure what you mean when you say there are no micro-transactions in UFC 4. They have UFC point packs ranging from $5 all the way to $100+ that you can use to purchase their new clothing items for CAFs.
@MatthewMcGeary I see what you're saying now. I think it's hard to say whether their new micro-transactions are successful or not though and I guarantee they weren't planning on them being unsuccessful. UFC 2, 3, and 4 all have the same UFC point packs the only difference is what you spend those points on in the game. You and I might think the new clothes are stupid and overpriced but it only takes a few whales to like them.
Ultimate Team mode didn't make any sense in a sport where there are no teams. They had to do something different with it but doing something different isn't cheap. Modeling a few clothing items and then re-texturing them a bunch is way cheaper and easier than actually developing a new mode which would have to include micro-transactions and also makes sense for MMA.
I'd bet they saved money during production by copy everything from UFC 3, cutting out modes, slapping a new paint coat on it and calling it UFC 4.
