Matchmaking Issues,especially Quick Match.

In quick match it will usually find me game after 10min+ and 6-8 tries on average.(No matter if i have specific rules for finding a game or having all weight classes allowed or specific ones this keeps happening)

If it finally does find me an opponent,it will be 80% of the time with a guy from a different continent. The game then will lag or have a very noticable input lag and delay or both, making it unplayable.(this applies for all modes, not only quick match)(i know that because i tested by messaging most of the people i lag/have delay with and some of em let me know they are from the US,while i am playing from Europe,Greece)

Also in quick match,if i do finally find someone to play against, after we are done with the fight,if i go to search for an opponent again and this guy is also searching it will always put us together.i've played like that with the same opponent for a consecutive 2 hours about 10-15 times put together in quick match "random" search.

I got the game since day 1 it came out and the first 2-3 days where i didn't play ranked or ultimate team, but rather career and a few quick matches,i didn't have any issues with quick match. It found games instantly, despite me choosing only 1 weight class on search options or specific rules for finding match(such as 5 round fights etc.)1 thing i noticed ever since i got in Div 5 and now currently Div 6,it keeps finding me skilled opponents to play against in quick match, instead of being random like the first EA SPORTS UFC 1 game, which propably explains why it takes forever to find me an opponent in quick match.

Choosing specific weight classes is obviously not an option unless you play Ranked or Ultimate team, since it will never find you a game or if you are lucky it will find you a game but with a guy from across the globe 90% of the time.

The matchmaking issues are killing the game for me.Even in ultimate team/ranked games, despite finding games quite fast,in a matter of seconds in the first attempt,it seems to never take into account the lag/delay and it completely breaks the game.

I don't really have any issues as far as lag/finding games/delay is concerned in other multiplayer games or even the first EA SPORTS UFC 1. Yeah lag was an issue in that game, but it rarely happens to me,even till this day i can find games faster and with better connection to my opponent to have an enjoyable fight. On Star Wars Battlefront PC ,i don't have any issues,on Battlefield 4 and Hardline on PC i can find german servers with 50-60 ms ping,so no issues there either. In dota 2 on PC i play with 65-75 ms on Europe East Data Center and around 80 ms on Europe West. So it's clearly not an issue on my end,but rather the way matchmaking is set-up in this game.

I beg you, please open up the matchmaking settings and allow people to play with people who are not on the same skill level,as far as quick match is concerned at least...
I don't really have an issue on the main mode i play which is ranked, but when the game lags it lags in every mode, but only on quick match is the issue so big.

  • Hi @MixosMeFistous,

If you continue to experience matchmaking issues then you might be looking at NAT or other connection related issues. We've provided some details on both subjects in our main connection troubleshooting article. We also have a separate article that can help you with improving your UFC 2 connection.

Should you have already followed the steps in these articles then please confirm that as well so I can forward your feedback on the matchmaking system.

    Thank you,

  • My ps4 nat type is 2.

I have UPnP enabled on my router and Rainbow Six Siege on my PC,has an Open Nat Type with my current router settings.

I tried port forwarding some of those ports, half of them were duplicates, since UPnP covered them and couldn't be assigned. But i did assign some other ports, without effect however.

Last 2 days, i've been playing EA SPORTS UFC 2 ranked mode and only 2/10 of my games had a noticable delay or lag. I had no issues finding game as far as that mode is conncerned.

However, the quick match seems to be the problem. I have all the settings open in quick match, but the main reason it won't find me a game in that mode,is because matchmaking takes into account skill. And people who are on the Div 6,such as myself, are mostly playing ranked. So if i,a div 6 players, tries to play a quick match. Not much DIV 6 players play quick match and it never finds me game without lag/delay or in time. It will find me a game after 10-15 min if i have all the matchmaking settings selected to cover as many people as possible. If however i select a single weight class it will never find me a game.It will take more than 20 min to do so.

All in all,Quick Match,is unranked fights, but they seem to be taking into account, your rank/skill. This causes to never find me a game. When i had the game the first week and i wasn't playing ranked,it instantly found me a game in quick match, despite me being specific with weightclass,round/clock type settings.

EA Sports UFC 1,in quick match, doesn;'t take into account your skill level and neither should EA SPORTS UFC 2.

The quick fights are more where casuals play, and them keeping higher level players out is actually a good thing. Best bet is to use an alt account to play it.
