ps4 ufc invite a friend problem

I can play a "Quick Match" with "Search for Session", but with "Invite to Session" with a friend is in the game and we have "Send" the invite we both see waitin for opponent, yet nothing happens after that just waiting and waiting and waiting. Is there something we are not doing. Please give directions
