That means you are logged in under a different EA account, hense the password reset you're doing isn't actually going through as your PSN ID is linked to a different EA account.
There is a way to find out what email address you use from in our games. If you can't verify it that way, please contact our Support team for account recovery.

If it's been a while since you updated the email address for your account, I can't say what you're experiencing is due to someone else gaining access. A lot of players created EA accounts a LONG TIME ago when they first logged into an EA game, so it's understandable some players might have super old email addresses they no longer use/have access to.
Our Support team can locate your EA account that has your PSN ID, verify ownership, and update the details for you.

Basically given up now no issues with any other ea games going online just the free ufc 4 download even unlinked an old account unlinked the new account then re linked it through opening ufc 4 shows online psn and a tick so deffo linked like before as the support team agreed no issue with server no issue with ea account blamed psn or connection issue I'm fully online mates on ps4 are online and sending me invites just won't let me go online seems ironic how they have the payed for version 🤔
