Re: Move down a weight class?

If you win several fights in a row as a Champion, you get asked to move up in weight. If you lose several fights consecutively, you get to choose if you want to move down in weight. If you win the belt in a new division as a Champion of two weight classes, you get asked which one you want to stay in as a Champion.

  • @EA_Blueberry that sucks. Moving weight classes up or down should be optional at all times not based on whether you're champion or you're losing. Look at khamzat chimaev for instance.

  • @EA_Blueberry and how about moving up a weight class after losing? Lots of fighters move up in weight class as they get older and start losing rather than moving down. Look at Chris Weidman, Luke Rockhold, Darren Till, I think even Jorge Masvidal moved up to welterweight from lightweight after losing a few.

@EA_Blueberry That is poor. We want more options. Like Cannonir started at heavyweight, went down to light heavyweight and then to middelweight. Diego Sanches startet at middelweight and all the way down to 145. Anthony Johnson started at 170 and has fought at heavyweight. Vitor Belfort, 185, 205 and heavyweight. There are probably many more that have done simular to them. BJ Penn.
