I fixed this by unlinking my ea account suing my phone then loading the game andrefusing to relink my account. After the main menu loaded I relinked my account using the ea access app without actually closing my game completely. I was then able to play fine.

Thanks for sharing that workaround. Is it still holding up for you since doing this?
The issue is with the EA account itself. I can unlink my Xbox and EA accounts and access the game fine.
When trying to join a multiplayer game you’re presented with the option to relink or cancel. This then proceeds to crash the game again continuously until you unlink again (no option to link a new account).
Bought the game with the sole purpose of playing my friends, what a waste with no doubt there’ll be no support from EA now they have my money.

Has anyone solved this. Ea help have not been able to. I’m having the same issue. As soon as Xbox live and ea account are linked the game won’t load. Revoke access to Xbox live and game loads so you can play offline.
See I’m doing that then I can at least load the game to the main menu. As soon as I click ultimate team I have to relink and it then crashes back to dashboard.
I have just tried that and you are right. The quick match works but other o line things crash the game. What the hell. That’s making even less sense. There’s clearly an issue and to just be told they can’t do nothing is outrageous
Won’t lie you have confused me even more with this quick match revelation. But thank you as I have had more help in 10 minutes here than 2 days with ea help. It’s obviously a problem but I guess they can’t be bothered fixing it as they are working on fight night.
There is a few reddit threads on it too. I really hope they sort it I love the ultimate team aspect.

Ok so I’ve been having the exact same problem and I unlinked my ea account today, I played a game of play now and then re linked my account in the settings menu of the game. I’m able to play no problem now!!
Hopefully this works for you because I’ve been unable to play for months until today. I unlinked my ea account with my phone and played a game or two of offline. After that I went to the options menu (in game) and relinked and when I went to play ranked I got on
I can’t promise it will work for you but it did for me and I’ve been having this issue for months now. Like the other person said I unlinked my ea account and played offline. I then went to the in game options and relinked my account. I’m online now and finally able to start season 16
