I had that same issue and I just fixed the problem. By going to ea.com and resetting my password. and the problem was fix just update your password. it doesn't ask you to sign back in on my game. It's just going to be fixed with a password update. From your phone or computer. It's that simple I did that before writing this and it actually worked.

    @Arthurmuke862 Thank you for posting this! My kids have been bugging me to get plants vs zombies working for weeks. Turned out to be an expired password. We’re back in business!
