spamming strikes in single collar

In EA UFC 2 almost everytime I play online people spam in the half muay Thai clinch. They'll clinch up, go to single collar and just punch or knee repeatedly and I can't do anything. I can't block, can't strike, can't counter. It's super frustrating please fix.

The blocking in the clinch isn't high/low like in the rest of the game. You block punches/elbows with R1/RB. You block kicks/knees with R2/RT. The reason they did this is because the clinch would be a nightmare with high/low block. The start up animations are the same, so trying to figure out if it is a knee to the head or body would be extremely hard because there is nothing to tell you it will be different. So they simplified it.
